Peskov: Putin to hold meeting on Russia’s car market situation Fri
MOSCOW, Apr 24 (PRIME) -- President Vladimir Putin will hold an online conference to discuss the situation in the Russian car industry, which has evident and understandable problems, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“The president will be occupied with the state of things in the car industry. He started a series of industry meetings earlier, the meetings are to set measures to support systemically important industries of our economy,” he said.
Friday’s meeting will be attended by CEO of truck maker Kamaz Sergei Kogogin, President of GAZ Group Vadim Sorokin, head of carmaker Sollers Vadim Shvetsov, President of car producer AvtoVAZ Yves Karakatsanis, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, and Transport Minister Yevgeny Ditrikh.
Meetings devoted to specific industries will be continued, Peskov added.
